Zoie was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We had the honor of staying there for 2 weeks. At the time, we did not feel like it was a honor, but now understand the value of the time we spent in our daughter's homeland. We were able to see and touch and feel and hear and taste Ethiopia. We continue to stay in contact with our ET Dream Team...Duni, Rachel, Furtuna, Robel. (nannies & caregivers, too) They were our constant in all the craziness that comes with adoption. Our friends, Rachel & hubby are home now in TN. The rest remain there and help every AW family make it to the end of the marathon. The race is hard, so hard, but the treasure is worth the pain. Thank you for ALL the work you do for children and forever families.
Amharic. It's the beautiful language our daughter would have learned to speak .
We cherish these 3 words... Jesus- Eyesus, Family-Beteseb, Love- Feker
As we prepare for celebrating Easter, please keep the ones in Ethiopia, our family in your prayers. They make a difference for love, for family, for Jesus.
**AWAA has 10 families (its a record:) in Ethiopia this week bringing home their children. WOW!
