Let's see if I can appeal to the young, hip judges. This story has an element of crudeness, but what story about boys doesn't?
ReplyDeleteLuke was 4, and we had a college student (Jake is a college pastor) over for dinner. We also had a relatively new kitten. Luke excused himself from dinner while we chatted with the student, but we were interrupted by Luke saying, "Oh gross, Oscar... that's so gross... ewww, disguuusting..." Any parent of boys knows that you don't let comments like that go without investigation.
We went to see about the matter and found our kitten, Oscar, licking Luke's fingers. Yes, that IS disgusting, but not to a 4 year old. "Why is that so gross, Luke?"
"Because, Dad. I've been scratching my butt all day!"
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Can I just vote for a blog mom? I think Apryl has the best mom blog stories :) and tons of them.
